Chamber e-Reminder
Some Quick Notes:
Annual Meeting Just an e-Reminder that we need to know if you are attending the Annual Meeting next Wednesday, October 27th at Maxwelton Braes.
Even if you preferred to mail your RSVP in today or tomorrow – I still need you to RSVP online to make sure you are included.
As a comfort, I wanted to let you know that all RSVPs are entered into one master list by Business Name and then by Guest Name so, even if you sent in multiple replies, your reservation will not be doubled up.
Any questions? Please contact me today. Thanks, Phil

Vacation Planner We are past the deadline for the Vacation Planner but, I am informed that we still have room if you wanted to be in the 2005 Official Vacation Planner. If you are interested, please contact Ann or Cathy right away. ann@doorcounty.com ~ cathy@doorcounty.com or call them directly at their extensions: Ann is 808 and Cathy is at 812 Blank Contracts are available for downloading on our Member’s site.
Member’s Web Site Make sure you give it a once over each week. Some of the information is the same but there is always something new to review.
e-Reminders Don’t be shy to sign up for our e-Reminders – your address is safe with us. We are now using a password protected list server to distribute these important updates from the Chamber. We have secured this service to prevent the theft of your e-mail address by a SPAM server. Additionally, we feel strongly that the usefulness of e-mail is not to be abused and we will never give out or sell your address to anyone. To make this communication more effective, we encourage you to sign up other members of your business. Simply e-mail their addresses to me at: phil@doorcounty.com
Gift Certificates Check the member’s site for more information and sign up sheets but, here’s the short of it: Participation offers a lot of additional exposure and, it costs nothing to sign up! We sell tens of thousands of them (especially during the Holidays) There is a no cash back restriction and they are redeemable for 97% of their face value through the Chamber (the 3% helps defray the cost of promotion, production, accounting and distribution) and, all you have to do is tell us you want to participate. Go to www.DoorCountyVisitorBureau.org and click on “Gift Certificates” – print out and complete a Participation Contract and send it in, drop it off or FAX it to the Chamber Office - We’ll do the rest.
Online Store Our Internet Committee is meeting next week and, as we continue to improve upon DoorCounty.com, I am reminded of the extraordinary marketing value offered through InnLine. The full featured pages on www.doorcounty.com start at less than $21.00 a month for non-lodging members and $30 for Vacation Rentals. Additionally and, at no additional charge, InnLine now offers an Online Store feature which allows you to sell your gift certificates, guest packages, tours, tickets and/or merchandise over the Internet through our secure shopping cart feature on DoorCounty.com. Your store might be closed for the season but, you could be ringing up sales all winter long. If you head out on vacation, simply unclick the active button and you’re set to go. Click it again and you’re up and running again.
Sign up now and be online for the Holidays! Information and Contracts available at: www.DoorCountyVisitorBureau.org
Halloween It started out as a fact finding mission to clear up a rumor (that Sister Bay was not having their annual party in the Village Hall) and I ended up with a whole list of fun activities planned for young and old alike. Check it out at: http://www.DoorCountyVisitorBureau.org/Halloween.htm And, by the way, the Sister Bay Lion’s Club IS throwing the Annual Halloween Party at the new Sister Bay Fire Station (not the Liberty Grove Station)
Have a GREAT Day, then!
Sincerely,
Phil
