Explanation of Web Stats The "Visits" report shows the number of visitor sessions—or "visits"—to DoorCounty.com during the specified report period. A visit refers to a series of requests from a uniquely identified client. A visit starts with the first request from the client and remains active as long as the period between subsequent requests from the client does not exceed a set "time-out" period (15 minutes). After a visit "times out", LiveStats counts a request from the same client as the start of a new visit.
The "Page Views" report shows the number of successful requests for pages logged during the specified report period. A page is any file - such as a web page, dynamic web page, form - classified as a page by the Virtual Server Administrator.
The "Hits" number tracks the number of requests for files - or "hits" - logged during the specified report period. A "hit" is any request on your web server for any file, such as a web page, bitmap, CGI, or header request. For example, if a visitor wants to see a web page containing two images, they must make three hits: one hit for the page, and two for the image files.

Building Statistics While a decline in room occupancy is a concern, we have enjoyed increases in traffic and the amount collected in sales taxes associated with tourism (excludes ship and yacht building as well as manufacturing, etc..) To fill in our statistical gaps, we have received a building permit report from the County to add into the equation. Door County Building Permit Statistics
