One of the
easiest ways to prepare a document for easy e-mail or web use is to use
web-friendly photos. Here are some simple steps to make
web-friendly copies of your digital photos, logos or graphics.
Instructions
for preparing photos for easy web and e-mail use.
1.)
Use Windows Explorer to locate the photo file(s) you wish to
distill.
2.)
Right Click once on the file name or, if you wish to process
multiple pictures at once, simply hold the Ctrl button while you left
click on the files you wish to select. Once you have your files
selected, release the Ctrl button and Right Click your mouse (anywhere).
3.)
The first drop down list will appear and you want to hover over
“Send To”
4.)
On the next drop down list, click on “Mail Recipient”.
5.)
A Dialog box will appear with two options – you want to use the
option that makes all your pictures smaller. Click Ok.
6.)
Next a generic e-mail will appear with the file(s) attached.
From
there you can either add an e-mail address and send them or you
can right click and save the files to your hard drive.
You
might want to create a file called e-Mail Pics within your "My Pictures"
file or, because I file a lot of pictures,
I
typically create a new file within the original file and call it “Web”
and save the reduced pictures in there.
