Notice from Sturgeon Bay School District
The Sturgeon Bay School District has been notified of a potential scam in the Black River Falls School District which might not be limited to their area.
A business establishment in Black River Falls contacted me asking if the high school is now printing a boys basketball picture schedule poster. We are not.
The company is Liberty Publishing and they're asking for ads from business establishments ranging in price from $499.50 to $199.00. The company has promised 3,000 picture posters for players, parents, and businesses. I called and confronted a salesman. When I told the company that I would not supply a picture, their response was it would just be "a basketball picture" not our team.
I have alerted our Chamber of Commerce and our local radio station, and they are notifying our local businesses not to buy ads from this company.
If it can happen in Black River Falls, it can happen anywhere! Please help spread the word.
Thank You. Jim Hornby, BRF Athletic Director
